Proud   to   be   an   Irish   American

I'm proud to be an American, and doubly proud to be an Irish American! My given name is Kathleen Lynn, and I was born, December 20, 1946, the second daughter of, Jesse and Gladys. My birthplace was in rural Fayette County, Pennsylvania (Dry Hill). Currently I reside in a lovely little hamlet called Mount Pleasant. You'll see more on that later if you follow the links. Early on my dear old Daddo taught me the importance of my Irish heritage. My sainted Mother added her own special brand of Scottish/Pennsylvania Dutch wisdom to Dad's blarney.(God rest their souls) Whew! What a mix, huh? Well that mix has been passed on to my own dear children. All five of them. Sean Patrick ... Scott Andrew ... Kassandra Sue ... Kelly True ... and Donald Jesse. Also to a wee lass named Madeline, my first grandchild.

I refer to myself as a YankeeGaL, because that's just how I see myself. Ayuh, I'm hard headed, but ... soft hearted none-the-less. I never look back, I only look forward! Probably the most important word (and words are important to me) that I can share as the secret to my success is ... PROGRESS. Every day learn something new, do something different, write a letter to someone who misses you. Encourage a youth who has lost faith. Keep a promise. Forget an old grudge. Examine your demands on others and vow to reduce them. That my friend, that is PROGRESS. Now then, follow the links below to see more pictures. First how about 1964 (what a great year) Graduation pic of ME! Then scroll down past the doughboy to one of "Me dear old Daddo", my sister and myself, circa 1954. Then on to more current ones if you so desire. Oh, and don't be hasty on the pages with the Scottsman and other song lyrics. Let them load and you too can sing along my friend :))
